Workers' Compensation


Employees who are injured or contract an illness in a job-related incident are covered by state-mandated workers' compensation insurance.

Tuition Assistance


The Town offers tuition assistance to eligible employees for coursework toward a college degree, professional certification, or developmental training, to support the Town's goal of attracting and retaining a qualified workforce. Preliminary approval for tuition reimbursement is obtained from the department director and the Town Manager before course begins.  The Town pays up to $400 per course, and up to $1,600 per fiscal year.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)


EAP is bundled with group health insurance programs.  EAP provides free and confidential assistance as related to problems or issues that are affecting the employee personally or at work.  EAP services include assessment and referral to appropriate resources, and are available to the employee and his/her immediate family.  For behavioral health services, members receive up to four visits per incident per plan year at no cost.

CommonHealth

The CommonHealth Wellness Program is available through group health insurance programs.  CommonHealth provides medical screenings, health risk appraisals, and several wellness programs including smoking cessation, prenatal risk management, and stress management.
