Group Health Insurance

All full-time regular and part-time regular employees and their eligible dependents are eligible for enrollment in the Town's health, vision and dental service plan.  Eligibility begins on the first day of the month following the date of hire.  The cost for this benefit is currently shared by the employee and the Town. Employer and employee contributions are determined by the Town Council annually and are subject to change.

Town employees can choose from the following plans that are comprised of PPO Health Plan options:

Employees are provided a way to help offset the cost for medical and pharmacy expenses. A Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) is an account owned and funded by the Town of Front Royal that you can use to pay for qualified medical expenses that you would otherwise pay for out of pocket. Details on Page 6 of the above mentioned 2023-2024 Benefits Guide.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Anthem EAP is available to Anthem-covered employees, covered dependents, and any household members. EAP covers up to 4 free counseling visits per issue per plan year. Call 1-855-223-9277 to get started with complete confidentiality.

CommonHealth

The CommonHealth Wellness Program is available through group health insurance programs.  CommonHealth provides medical screenings, health risk appraisals, and several wellness programs including smoking cessation, prenatal risk management, and stress management.
