Section 62-8 PENALTIES.


Every person who violates any provision of this Chapter or; any juvenile in violation of this Chapter who fails to proceed immediately to their residence when ordered by a law enforcement officer; or who gives a false name or address to a law enforcement officer when apprehended in violation of this Chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction be fined: not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than fifty dollars ($50.00) for a first offense, not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200.00) for a second offense, and not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for a third or subsequent offense or; in the case of a juvenile, the court hearing the matter may proceed pursuant to Virginia Code Section 16.1-278.4 and Section 16.1-278.6, where applicable, for the welfare of the juvenile and the best interests of the community.  Each such violation shall constitute a separate offense.
