Chapter 148 SUBDIVISION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT. (updated 7-28-08)
Section 148-6 INTERPRETATION
A.
In their interpretation and application, the provisions of this chapter
shall
be held to be the minimum requirements stated herein.
B. For
the
purpose of this chapter, certain words and terms used herein shall be
interpreted or defined as follows. Words used in the present tense
include the
future, words importing the masculine gender include the feminine and
neuter,
words used in the singular form include the plural and the plural the
singular,
unless the natural construction of the word indicates otherwise; the
word
"lot" includes the word "parcel"; the word
"shall" is mandatory; the word "approve" shall be
considered to be followed by the words "or disapprove"; any reference
to this chapter includes all ordinances amending or supplementing the
same.
C. This
chapter
shall be used and interpreted in conjunction with the provisions of
Chapter 175, Zoning, and other applicable ordinances of the Town of
Front
Royal.
