Section 148-10 NONCONFORMING LOTS OF RECORD.

If any parcel or lot of record which is lawfully in existence at the effective date of this chapter does not conform to the street frontage, lot area or lot width requirements of this chapter, upon application, the dimensions of said lot or parcel may be modified or adjusted by vote of the Town Council.  Upon recommendation of the Planning Commission, the Town Council may, by special permit, approve adjustments to the boundaries of such nonconforming lots of record where it is found that the adjustment will not adversely affect adjoining property, a reasonable attempt is being made to bring the property into as close conformity with this chapter as possible and the nonconformity is not being increased.
