Right-of-Way Utilization Permits

The Department of Public Works regulates all construction activity within the Town Right-of-Way. Construction, road closures, or restriction of on-street parking or sidewalks require a permit issued by the Department.

FY 07-08 Pavement Management Program

The Town has adopted a comprehensive pavement program for the FY07-08 fiscal year. The Department shall be conducting work in several locations identified on the PMP Map.

Snow Removal

Sewer Main Slip Lining

The Town has contracted with A&M Liners to install a lining into existing sewer mains. When work is to occur, door hangers shall placed alerting citizens to the work. Please do not use water during this work. The sewer main will be temporarily blocked while the lining is installed. This work shall reduce groundwater infiltration into the sewer system.

2007 Leaf Collection

The Town has been divided into four sections for leaf collection, with the first zone collection beginning on November 5. Town staff shall place " No Parking – Leaf Collection" signs on the streets in the zone to be collected the Friday before that Zone's collection. Residents are requested to honor the "No Parking" request by parking in driveways or other off-street parking locations to allow leaf collection.

When you see the leaf collection signs, please place all leaves on the grass-side of the curb or onto the sidewalk. Leaves shall be loosely gathered and not placed in bags. Please do not place leaves in the gutter, as this may impair stormwater flow if it should rain. If you place the leaves in bags, they will be collected on your weekly yard waste collection day.
