An On-call Collection Program is available in the Town of Front Royal for items not picked up during regular trash collection. There is no charge for the first collection within the Town's fiscal year (July 1-June 30) and additional collections are $25 each. There is an addition $15.00 charge for all items containing freon. This program is in place of the Spring and Fall Cleanup Program held in previous years. Please call the Public Works Department at 635-7819 for further details and to schedule a collection.
Manassas Avenue Extension Spring and Summer hours are 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday for white goods and yard waste drop-off. Mulch is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. (no appointment is needed).
The Department has initiated a program to identify Public Works related issues in the community before they become larger problems within the neighborhood. Staff will field walk one section of Town each month looking for items that require repair or attention. Issues not directly related to Public Works will be forwarded to the appropriate Department to deal with those issues.
The Department of Public Works will be picking up Yard Waste town-wide every Wednesday as of May 5, 2008. Please be advised that Manassas Ave. extension will still be open for drop-offs of white goods and yard waste.
