The Specialty Units of the Police Department include:

• Emergency Services Team that consists of a group of specially selected officers who have been highly trained in the use of special weapons and tactics. This training is used for high risk situations involving barricaded suspects, hostage takers, etc.
• Crisis Negotiation Team maintains a crisis negotiation unit consisting of (2) officers who specialize in using proven negotiation tactics to confront individuals in stronghold or barricade positions. This team trains with the Emergency Services Team.
