The Investigation Division consists of Criminal, Narcotic and Gang Investigations.

CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS is staffed by a sergeant, corporal, (3) investigators and an administrative assistant. Investigators are trained and certified in the following fields: Reid Interview and Interrogation, fire investigations, homicide/death investigation, evidence collection and child sex offenses. They are also responsible for establishing and maintaining a liaison with other law enforcement agencies and employment background investigations. R. Clint Keller is the Criminal Investigations Sergeant.

DRUG TASK FORCE UNIT has assigned a sergeant and one investigator from the Front Royal Police Department to the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug Task Force, which is comprised of agencies from Winchester, Warren, Frederick, Clarke, Shenandoah, Page, Strasburg and Virginia State Police. Kevin M. Coffman is Team Leader of the Front Royal/Warren County Drug Task Force Unit.

GANG TASK FORCE UNIT has assigned an investigator from the Front Royal Police Department to the Northwest Virginia Regional Gang Task Force’s “Major Gang Unit”, which is comprised of Winchester, Warren, Frederick, Clarke, Page, Strasburg, Shenandoah and Virginia State Police. The primary emphasis is to prevent gang violence from gaining a foothold in our valley. They also investigate crimes associated with gang members.
